How BoxDex works

BoxDex is a multi-brand blind box collection tracker in active development. The current MVP build combines a local album, probability tools and voluntary share cards; the public product today is the waitlist.

BoxDex is designed around a collecting mechanic, not one manufacturer. Its first verified catalog contains 23 Skullpanda and Nommi series, while custom odds input and the underlying collection model are brand-independent.

Share cards

The build can create collection-progress and fresh-pull cards from text, generic graphics and the collector’s own photos, then open the phone’s share sheet. It does not auto-post. Official toy artwork is not embedded in the app cards.

How odds are handled

Every probability should answer two questions: what is the number? and how do we know? Catalog values carry one of three confidence labels: official, pattern, or community. Estimated values remain visibly estimated in the UI.

The direct calculator assumes equal, independent per-box odds. Packaging rules can make boxes within a sealed case dependent, so the result is not a guarantee. Read the full odds methodology and live calculator.

What the product does not currently do

Catalog scope versus product scope

The launch seed is deliberately narrow enough to verify: 14 Skullpanda series and 9 Nommi series, 238 figures in the current app catalog. These are the starting data, not the product’s identity. The model supports multiple brands, varying series sizes, regular / secret / super-secret tiers and custom odds.

More brands are a direction, not a current availability claim. BoxLore content helps test which collections people actually care about before catalog work is expanded.

BoxLore: the research and story layer

BoxLore covers the artists, ideas, rarity and collector math behind blind-box series. Its first published episode is Skullpanda Explained: Pop Mart’s Strangest Hit. The channel and app are independent fan projects and are not affiliated with the brands discussed.

Website privacy and purchasing

This website currently asks only for an email address through Kit when someone joins the waitlist. It has no checkout and does not sell BoxDex. App pricing and store availability will be published only when they are real public offers.
